Fluxome was founded in 2002 as a spin-off company from the
research group of Professor Jens Nielsen at Center for Process
Biotechnology, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The aim
was to exploit Fluxome unique technology and
know-how to develop innovative and cost-effective
bioprocesses.
In 2005 Fluxome received substantial venture capital in
order to pursue the strategy of developing the company into a
significant player within industrial biotechnology - and especially
within the field of nutraceutical ingredients.
Since 2006 a professional and internationally experienced
management team with excellent industry connections has headed the
company. Development has been pushed resulting in an extremely
rapid and positive growth, and Fluxome has gone from the "proof of
concept" stage to developing mature results, enabling the
company's successful commercial market introduction in 2009 - well
ahead of schedule.
Today the company employs high-profile people with the right
qualifications to successfully fuel the development projects and
commercialization activities. The organization has developed from a
start-up environment to a product and sales orientated organization
on two
continents.
